Ancient Babylonian Law Stele

In the heart of ancient Mesopotamia, around 1754 BCE, a towering figure in the world of law emerged: Hammurabi, the sixth king of the First Babylonian Dynasty. He etched some of the earliest known legal codes onto a colossal stele, known as the Hammurabi Stele, which stands at an imposing 7.4 feet tall.
