Bronze Age Armor From Dendra

In the heart of Greece, buried beneath layers of history, lies a remarkable trove of Bronze Age armor that tells a story of ancient warfare and craftsmanship. Discovered in 1960 at the Dendra site in the Peloponnese region, this extraordinary cache includes the legendary Dendra armor, a set of bronze breastplates that dated back to around 1400 BC. Weighing close to 25 pounds, each piece was meticulously crafted from large sheets of bronze, riveted together for maximum protection, and adorned with intricate engravings that showcase the artistry of its creators.
