Burial Treasures In The Royal Tombs Of Ur

In the ancient city of Ur, nestled in present-day Iraq, archaeologists unearthed a treasure trove that would make any treasure hunter’s heart race. Discovered between 1922 and 1934 by the famous British archaeologist Sir Leonard Woolley, the Royal Tombs of Ur revealed gilded artifacts, exquisite jewelry, and even remains of lavish feasts, dating back to around 2500 BCE.
