Temple Of Artemis At Ephesus Reconstruction

In the ancient city of Ephesus, a monumental structure once rivaled the wonders of the world: the Temple of Artemis. Completed around 550 BCE, this temple soared to a staggering height of 18 meters (60 feet) and was adorned with 127 columns, each standing 18 meters tall. Built in honor of the goddess of the hunt and fertility, Artemis, it drew pilgrims from far and wide, showcasing the Greeks’ architectural prowess and devotion.

Devastatingly, the original temple was destroyed multiple times, most notably in 262 CE by the Goths. Yet, its story didn’t end there.
